Replica of Dattatreya Paduka for pooja
DH News Service, Koppa:
The district administration will make all arrangement to perform pooja to a replica of Dattatreya Paduka 200 metres away from Datta Peeta and also peace will be maintained during the event, Home Minister V S Acharya said.

Speaking to media persons after a private meeting with former minister H G Govinde Gowda on Friday here, he said, the question of banning Bajrang Dal has not arisen.

A small group has attacked the church and the government has handled the situation efficiently, he said. If need be Goonda Act will be implemented, he assured and said though the Union government over reacted in the beginning to attack on churches, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil had expressed satisfaction about the action taken during his visit to the State.

Refuting the allegation that the Intelligence had failed in the church attack incident, he confirmed that the government did not have any information regarding the same. He also announced that plans are on the anvil to establish a new police system to strengthen the internal security.
