FUN FOR FUND

It was an afternoon when mocktails replaced the cocktails, summer dresses and sarees replaced cocktail skirts and gowns, and the room was filled with gossip and fun. Only there were no men. The Bangalore Cosmo Ladies Circle 105, recently organised a fundraising luncheon for women at the Barton Centre.

Around 150 women got together to celebrate their womanhood with the intention to help ‘Swanthana’, a speciality school for mentally challenged female children. “Fundraisers are our basic source of raising funds for the activities we support. This event is one such fundraiser where we invited ladies of various age group to not only have fun but also help support a cause,” said Kajol Bhatia, chairperson of Ladies Circle 105.

As the women donated money generously, the Ladies Circle entertained them with make-up tips, party games conducted by MC Abbas, tarot card readings, tambola and a salsa dance performance by a professional group who also gave few dance lessons to the guests. The highlight of the afternoon was the crowning of Mrs Gorgeous which went to Karishma and Roopa.

Other titles like Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Best Figure, Miss Perfect Walk, Miss Smart were also given out. The afternoon ended perfectly with the women letting their hair down and having a good time.
