C Radhakrishnan gets Muttathu Varkey award



Eminent novelist C Radhakrishnan has been chosen for this year's Muttathu Varkey literary award, instituted in memory of popular Malayalam writer Muttathu Varkey.

Radhakrishnan, a prolific writer, was chosen for his work 'Munpe Parakkunna Pakshikal' (Birds Flying Ahead). The award carries Rs 33,333, citation and memento.

The award was announced here by poet and lyricist Sreekumaran Thampi on behalf of the Muttathu Varkey Foundation.
