Whining is no solution
Dr. Kshitij Mankad is making a reasonable argument.  But he is also selfish in my opinion.
India has produced some of the most outstanding doctors of the world. It is also true that some Indian doctors seek greener pastures in foreign countries. We cannot blame them.

Set up an eco system
After going through the article from Dr Kshitij Mankad and the response from Prof B.V.Balakrishna, I feel both are perfectly right in their view point. Dr. Mankad represents the newer generation or doctors who are looking for reasonable/lucrative career in India as well as the satisfaction in the noble profession.

Change with times
I am glad we are having this debate.. thanks to Dr.Kshitij Mankad... I am sure these are not just an emotional deliberations on his part in trying to be useful with his training from the UK ...given the chaotic health scenario in India.
                                                               Swami Padmanabhan, MD

Indian students highly respected
For Sharath
I strongly agree with you. Every year thousands of students are going
west for research degrees. I am one of those many thousands and was
your junior too in University.

Indians run NHS in UK
I agree with Prof Balakrishan here. Thirty five to forty per cent of NHS staff in UK is Indian. In other words Indian doctors claim that Indians are running
NHS in UK. At the same time from this year NHS is coming up with a rule
that it will recruit UK and EU docs and will give least preference to
Indians.

Change is possible
Yes Sir, I agree with you. So, shall we take the first step. Start a selfless volunteer team. Evoke consciousness in youngsters. I am 62 yrs, I am also an NRI in USA, I am ready if you are. Please do reply.
