Chaturmasa of Ramachandrapur Math seer begins

Head of Ramachandrapur Math Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi began Chaturmasya vrata recently.

Speaking on the occasion, the Swamiji said: Rama Nama is a mantra which helps to cleanse the mind.

He said the guidance of a Guru was necessary for attaining Moksha. “During Chaturmasya vrata, the Guru will not tour places. He will pray,” he said.

Delivering a discourse on Ramayana, the Swamiji said many stories were being forgottne after a few of hours listening.

“But Ramayana has survived the test of time,” he observed.

He handed over the letter of administration of Muliya Thimmappaiah High School to Math Administrator T Madiyal, Mr Nisrani Ramachandra delivered the introductory speech.

Mr Jagadish Sharma anchored.

Inaugurated

Students who secured distinction in SSLC examination were felicitated at programme held at Ashok High School at Hasikatta recently.

Teacher Mrs Lalit Laxmi N Bhat inaugurated the programme. Mr G R Hegde Harsimane was the chief guest. Mr Ganapati V Hegde Kumbar Kuli presided over the programme.

SSLC toppers Ravi Venkatraman Naik Tenginamane and Maitri G Hegde Kumbarkali were felicitated on the occasion.

Mr S G Hegde Sulagar, Mr P V Hegde Hosagadde, Mr C R Hegde Kavalakoppa, Mr K P Goudar Hookar, Mr Ganapati Hegde Hoskoppa and Mr Ashok Hegde Janaki were present on the occasion.

Headmaster S K Hegde welcomed the gathering. Mr Rajendra Kambali compered.
