I killed a friendship just to watch it die
It has been more than ten years since I first met my friend named 'cigarette'. Not knowing how exactly it should be smoked I had spent the initial few weeks inhaling and exhaling the smoke like a cigar. It took a forgotten college buddy who stood with me outside a cinema hall one evening to show me I was smoking it the wrong way. I had to inhale it beyond my mouth into my throat and deep into the pipes that carry food into my stomach. It had to enter the lungs like a whiff of over-expensive French perfume... SACHIN ENDULKAR?
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, plagued by shoulder injury, has also been having a poor run with the bat. Is this the end of a glorious career. Deccan Herald readers are divided when it comes to this topic of their most passionate game. One section is clear that he should leave before being ignominiously removed. The other is equally vehement in arguing that one bad patch does not end a glorious career.
