“Kannadigas migrated to the Western countries in search of job opportunities and not as refugees,” said NRI and Editor of ‘Americanada’ S K Harihareshwar.
He was speaking on “Non Resident Indians’ achievements and        problems” at the conference held at Muddanna Mantapa and Madhava vedike.
The outcome of the conference was a total expression of the fear of retaining the identity of the generation next Kannadigas as the biggest challenge in the coming years.
NRI from New Zealand and Australia Dr Linganna Kalburgi informed that more than 5,000     kannadigas are there in Australia and 30 Kannada sanghas.
